Dental Patient Safety in Medford

Protecting Your Family and Ours

Before Covid-19 and After

ADDITIONAL AWARENESS AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS

Rest assured, our staff has been thoroughly prepared and trained for added safety. Each member of our team has completed additional awareness and prevention programs designed to further their preparedness and understanding.

HEALTH CHECKS EVERY DAY FOR EVERYONE

At our office, we’ll be conducting no-contact temperature checks for each team member every day. They are also asked a series of health-related questions to ensure they’re able to treat patients safely.

PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING

It truly breaks our hearts to say this but, (for the time being), we ask that there are no hugs or handshakes at the office. We love all of our patients, and someday we’ll be able to share our welcomes and goodbyes without social distancing measures.

SCRUBS STAY AT THE OFFICE

As another added safety precaution, our team members now change into and out of their clean scrubs at the office instead of at home.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

You no longer are required to sit in your car to check in. If you prefer to check-in and sit in the reception area, please come upstairs to answer your COVID screening questions, and you may wait for your appointment. If you prefer to wait in your car, please call the office to check in and you will be called up when your chair is ready.

SANITIZE YOUR HANDS PLEASE

We will have hand sanitizer located throughout the office. When you arrive for an appointment, please sanitize your hands to help minimize the risks of cross-contamination.

MORE TIME BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS

We’ve cut back on the number of patients we see daily. This allows for more time between appointments for our team to clean, sanitize, and prepare treatment areas for our next patient.

PATIENT TEMPERATURE CHECK AND SCREENING

When you come in for an appointment, we’ll do a quick no-touch check of your temperature and ask you some health-related questions.

FOLLOW THE SIGNS

You’ll notice our office setup might look a little different. We now have fewer chairs in the reception area to allow for proper social distancing. Much like at the local stores, you’ll see helpful signs and one-way areas to help effectively keep six feet away from one another.

SANITIZE AND CLEAN WHEN YOU LEAVE

Once you leave the office following treatment, our team gets to work cleaning, disinfection, and sanitizing everything in the office. This includes all tools, equipment, and surface areas.

CONSISTENT STERILIZATION OF TOOLS

In line with the CDC recommendations, we’re continuing our standard procedure of sterilizing all tools or anything near your mouth in our autoclave using high heat and pressure.

MASKING – UPDATE

Patients and visitors are no longer required to wear a mask. Despite this change, we continue to welcome masks. All dental personnel will continue to wear masks.

FILTERING THE AIR

Thanks to our new HEPA-grade filtration through the office, you can breathe easy knowing the air is free from harmful airborne particles.

NO WAITING ROOM ACTIVITIES

For health reasons, we’ve removed all magazines and other activities from our waiting area.

Our Commitment to Safety

As the world around us and the rules continue to change daily, we want you to know that we’ll remain committed to protecting the safety and health of our patients and team members.

This is why we felt it was important to share these added steps with you so that you understand everything new that we do is for you and your family’s safety. Many of these actions are similar to what regulations we previously had in place that are guidelines set by the CDC, OSHA, and the ADA.

When you come to The Medford Center for Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, things may be a little different, but know that the same friendly, caring team is here to help you (even if you can’t see their smiling faces underneath all the masks.)

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to us so we can provide you with peace of mind and honest answers.

Thank you for being a part of our dental family! We’re always here for you and your smile.
